Social Tenant Access to Information Requirement Scheme (STAIRs)

Have you ever wanted to search for information about JRHT or make a request for specific performance data or information? With STAIRs, you can now access important information about your landlord and the services you rely on.

What is STAIRs?

The Social Tenants Access to Information Requirements Scheme (STAIRs) is a new regulatory standard introduced by the UK Government to make it easier for social tenants to access important information about their home, their landlord, and the services they receive.

The scheme is designed to increase transparency and accountability by helping you understand how decisions are made, how services are performing and how you can hold us to account.

Publication Scheme

The first stage of STAIRs is the Publication Scheme, which goes live in October 2026.

Our Publication Scheme brings important information about our housing services together in one place making it easier for you to find key information without having to ask. We’ll regularly review the information published here to ensure it remains accurate and up to date. We will also add new information to this scheme when we’re required to, and whenever we think it will be useful and relevant to you.

We've organised the information into the sections below to help you find what you’re looking for:

This includes information about

  • how decisions are made
  • our policies
  • service performance
  • complaints and how they are handled
  • spending and investment in homes and services
  • resident engagement and consultation activities

Information you can access

Much of the information that is required by STAIRs is already available on the JRHT website. For quick access we've provided links below.

Requesting information

The second stage of STAIRs comes in as of April 2027, when you will be able to request information relating to JRHT's housing management activities. We'll publish details of how to make a request before this comes into effect.
