Your tenancy agreement
All Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust residents in rented accommodation have security of tenure provided that you do not breach your tenancy agreement.

Home, garden and estate maintenance
Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust carries out planned maintenance in our properties and communities and expects tenants to keep homes and gardens in good condition.

Adaptations and improvements
Residents are encouraged to seek permission from us to adapt and improve their homes.

Garages and allotments
Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust residents can register for the use of garages and allotments in some of our communities.

Antisocial behaviour, harassment, hate crime and disputes
Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust ensures that anti-social behaviour and disputes are reported and dealt with as quickly and effectively as possible by our staff and residents.

Resident involvement
Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust works with residents to make sure we provide the best possible and most fit for purpose communities, homes and services.

Ending your tenancy or lease
You must give four weeks’ written notice if you plan to permanently move out of Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust housing.

Transfers and Mutual exchange
If your current JRHT home no longer suits your needs, you can register for a transfer. You can also try an exchange with another resident.
