As part of Supported Housing Week we’re celebrating the difference our colleagues make every day through the support, care and reassurance they provide to residents and their families.
A huge well done to Rebecca Smith, Peripatetic Scheme Manager, who recently received heartfelt praise from the family of a resident following a welfare visit during a particularly challenging time.
Rebecca’s professionalism, compassion and genuine care made a significant difference, not only to the resident but also to family members who were unable to be nearby. Her actions are a great example of how supported housing provides reassurance and peace of mind for residents and their loved ones.
The resident’s family shared:
“I cannot express fully enough how impressed I was, and grateful for, the care, attention and support Rebecca gave our father yesterday on her welfare visit. Aside from Rebecca's clear professionalism, her warmth, compassion and genuine aura brought much-welcomed reassurance and hope during what was a distressing episode.
As a close-but-physically-distant relative, this level of service offers immeasurable reassurance, not just for Dad, but for many others who rely on housing support. Please pass on my/our most sincere sense of both gratitude and recognition to Rebecca.”
Stories like this highlight the value of supported living services and the important role colleagues play in helping residents live independently while ensuring support is there when it’s needed most.
Thank you, Rebecca, for living our value of ‘We show we care’ and for making such a positive difference.
