We're making it easier for residents to access information about how we manage homes and services.

From October 2026, new Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs) will come into effect across the social housing sector. These requirements are designed to make sure residents can easily find information about their landlord, including how decisions are made, how money is spent, how homes are managed and how services are performing.

We believe you should be able to access the information you need about your home and landlord quickly and easily. That's why we've been reviewing, organising and improving the information available on our website.

Building on what we already do

Much of the information covered by STAIRs is already available through our website, reports and resident communications.

We're now bringing this information together in a clearer and more accessible way, making it easier to find the things that matter most to you.

This work has involved colleagues from across our organisation working together to review information, improve website content and develop new ways of helping residents access information about our services.

Why this matters

Having easy access to information helps you understand how decisions are made, how services are performing and how we're investing in homes and neighbourhoods.

It also supports transparency and accountability, helping us build trust and have open conversations with residents about the things that matter most to them.

While STAIRs introduces additional requirements, it reinforces an existing commitment to ensuring that information is clear, accessible and readily available to residents.

Being open about how we operate, listening to feedback and working with residents are important parts of how we deliver our services.

You can already find information on our website about:

We've now brought this information together through our new STAIRs page, making it easier to access everything in one place.

If you can't find the information you're looking for, or need information in a different format, please get in touch. We'll be happy to help.

Looking ahead

The first phase of STAIRs came into effect on 01 October 2026 and focuses on information that housing providers publish routinely.

A second phase, launching in April 2027, will give residents the right to request additional information about the management of their homes and services. More information will be made available about this closer to the time.

We'll continue to review and improve the information we provide, making sure it remains easy to find, easy to understand and useful for residents.
