In January 2026, the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) took the decision to withdraw from the direct provision of regulated care. We are now seeking alternative providers to fulfil this role for care services at Hartrigg Oaks and New Lodge in York and Bedford Court in Leeds. There are no plans to close any of the services, and there are no immediate changes to service delivery.
The transition will be subject to detailed planning and engagement. JRHT will work closely with residents, their families, colleagues, and other partners to ensure continuity, safety and quality of care throughout the process and beyond. JRHT is actively continuing to welcome new residents and staff to these care services.
