JRHT Board appoints second resident Board member

Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) are delighted to announce the completion of an open and competitive recruitment process lead by the Chair of the Board, Terie Alafat. The outcome is that Russell Bailey has been appointed as Resident Board member to the JRHT Board. Following the interview process Russell met the JRHT Board in March and will attend his first official Board meeting in June of this year. Russell lives in New Earswick in York. He describes himself as ‘busily retired’ following a career in banking, in Landscape Architecture and numerous years of study to work as a Psychotherapist. Russell has interests in outdoor exercise and a growing interest in ceramics and sculpture work. Pictured here outside the Folk Hall in New Earswick, York Russell told us,  “I am really delighted to be joining the JRHT Board and look forward to bringing, among other things, a JRHT resident’s perspective to future meetings”.
