February is LGBT+ History Month, a chance to recognise and celebrate the lives, experiences, and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, and to reflect on how we can continue to build communities where everyone feels welcome.
We believe a home should be a place where you feel safe, respected and comfortable being yourself. Supporting LGBT+ residents and challenging discrimination is an important part of this.
LGBT+ History Month is also about listening and learning. Everyone’s experiences are different, and feeling heard and supported can make a real difference. If something doesn’t feel right, you are not on your own.
