We are proud to announce the winners of this latest round of JRHT Values Champions awards – recognising colleagues, residents and community groups who go above and beyond to live our values every day.

We show we care

Lisa Brett, Café Assistant at the Folk Hall

Lisa creates a welcoming, friendly space at the Folk Hall café, greeting everyone with a smile and remembering people by name. She ensures that older residents are well cared for, taking the time to ask how they are and offering genuine care. She brings people together and really shows she cares.

Paul O’Dwyer, Domestic and Maintenance Assistant - Hartfields

Paul has transformed the gardens at Hartfields, creating beautiful outdoor spaces that residents and staff truly appreciate. From planting a pear tree to keeping areas tidy and blooming, his work has enhanced views, encouraged people to spend more time outdoors, and lifted spirits. Despite learning gardening from scratch and working as a Domestic and Maintenance assistant, his dedication continues to shine through.

We make a difference

Emma Cierpiol, Care Assistant at Bedford Court

Emma has gone above and beyond in her role, stepping up as team leader and dealing with a major phone and call system outage. She used her own phone to help restore services, kept residents informed, and carried out regular welfare checks. Always willing to pick up extra shifts, Emma consistently demonstrates exceptional care and commitment to both residents and colleagues.

Marilyn Caygill, resident living in Hartfields

Marilyn is a valued member of the Entertainment Team, bringing joy and creativity to residents through the ‘Knit and Natter,’ Art Club, and Craft Club.
She gives her time generously to make activities welcoming, enjoyable, and inclusive for everyone. Her commitment brings people together, enriches community life, and makes a real difference to residents’ wellbeing.

We are built on trust

Fiona Crawford, Housing Assistant

When an elderly resident was found lost and confused, Fiona quickly acted and helped them to return home safely. She stayed with the resident, offering comfort until their carer arrived, and kept the family updated throughout. Her calm and compassionate approach demonstrated exceptional empathy, understanding, and dedication to the resident’s safety and wellbeing.

Rachael Mason and Fran Eggington, Feedback Team

Rachael and Fran are transforming the feedback process, using their expertise to improve the experience for both colleagues and residents. Their training, templates, and the promises tracker have made a real difference. Dedicated, efficient, and helpful, they are delivering a better service for residents.

These incredible individuals embody JRHT’s values in action – caring for our communities, building trust, and making a lasting difference.

Congratulations to all our Values Champions and thank you for inspiring us every day.
