Need help getting online? You could get free internet at home with a Get Box
Staying connected is more important than ever – whether it’s keeping in touch with loved ones, applying for jobs, managing things like bills or accessing support.
That is why we have partnered with Jangala, to offer residents a Get Box – a small, easy to use device that gives you free wi-fi at home.
What is a Get Box?
A Get Box is a simple device that connects to mobile data. Just plug it in, pop in a SIM card which we will provide, and you are good to go in under a minute.
You will receive 25GB data each month, completely free of charge.
It’s a great option if you:
- Don’t have broadband or wi-fi at home
- Are struggling to afford mobile data or pay internet bills
- Want access to online services, apply for jobs, or stay in touch with friends and family
Who can get one?
You could be eligible for a Get Box, if you meet at least one of the following:
- You are on a low income, living alone, or a single parent
- You are struggling to pay for broadband or mobile data
- You currently don’t have wi-fi at home
- You feel socially isolated and want to connect with others
- You are looking for employment or learning opportunities
- You don’t currently use the internet and want to get started
The Get Box is available to all residents living within homes managed by JRHT.
What is included?
Each Get Box comes with:
- The device - Get Box
- An Installation Guide
- A SIM card with 25GB of data (renewed each month
- A guide to help you understand your data usage
- Terms and conditions for use
While it won’t support high intensity activities such as streaming or online gaming, it is perfect for things like browsing emails, video calls, and social media.
How long can I keep it?
You can borrow a Get Box for between 1 and 12 months, depending on your needs. Once your loan ends, we will collect the device, check its working, and make it available for another resident.
