We Make a Difference
Rachael Sennett, Senior Receptionist at Hartfields
Rachael has transformed community life at Hartfields by embracing social media to promote events and activities. Her energy has boosted footfall, increased room bookings and created a real buzz, helping raise funds and bring people together. From charity events to the Christmas fair, Rachael makes a huge difference and embodies all three JRHT values.
Rohan Hemantha, Risk and Assurance Manager & Fran Eggington, Complaints Officer
Rohan and Fran worked tirelessly to resolve the complex Fair Rents issue, reviewing more than 11,000 tenancies and ensuring that eligible residents received accurate refunds. Their professionalism, attention to detail and commitment to doing the right thing were vital to completing this high-volume work. Their efforts truly put residents first.
Donna Kearsley, General Assistant at Bedford Court
Since moving into her new role at Bedford Court, Donna has shown exceptional dedication. She works across different tasks, always making sure residents’ personal preferences are respected. Donna’s warm approach, attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile make a meaningful difference every day.
Mick Wilsden, Maintenance Operative at New Lodge
Mick, a Maintenance Operative at New Lodge, volunteered to share stories from his time in the Royal Navy as part of the new resident engagement programme. His talk brought people together, sparked conversation and helped brighten long winter evenings. Mick is a shining example of how small acts of sharing and connection can build a community.
We Show We Care
Martin Bell, Money and Benefits Advisor
Martin goes above and beyond in his role as Money & Benefits Advisor. He takes the time to listen, support and advocate for residents, including those with complex needs. His patient and respectful approach often results in life-changing outcomes. He recently secured more than £2,000 in benefits for one resident. Martin’s care and expertise has a real and lasting impact.
Diane Kingston, resident living at Hartrigg Oaks
Since moving to Hartrigg Oaks, Diane has shown great commitment in supporting the community, especially through digital inclusion. She volunteers at the Digital Café and is working with residents to plan learning sessions based on their interests. Diane’s thoughtful, patient approach and enthusiasm for helping others make her a valued member of the community.

Helen Smith, Chair of the HO Management Committee
Helen has shown immense dedication as Chair of the Hartrigg Oaks Management Committee. She has consistently given her time, leadership and sound judgement while dealing with sensitive matters on behalf of residents and JRHT. Her reliability, integrity and commitment make her a trusted and deeply appreciated member of the community.
Gill Rose, Sheltered Scheme Manager at St Ellens Court
Gill demonstrated remarkable compassion and professionalism when supporting a resident at St Ellens Court whose health was rapidly declining. She persisted in seeking help from the local authority and supported the resident through a difficult process, ensuring they received the care they needed. Gill acted with empathy and integrity putting the resident’s wellbeing first.
