On Tuesday 31 October and Wednesday 01 November, there will be a highway closure on Fifth Avenue between Ennerdale Avenue and the entrance to Derwenthorpe, for two days. This closure is required to complete the reconstruction of the road including works to kerbs, resurfacing works and line painting. Please note that pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the two days.
Whilst Fifth Avenue is closed, residents of Seebohm Quarter (Phase 3) will be asked to temporarily use Meadlands Mews to access their properties. The temporary access will be created by removing the boulders from the pedestrian access between Seebohm Quarter and Meadlands Quarter. Residents can access Meadlands Quarter by using Bad Bargain Lane and then Meadlands before coming onto Derwenthorpe via Meadlands Mews.
Diversion signs will be located along the diversion route to enable residents, visitors and deliveries to easily access Seebohm Quarter during the closure.
Bin collection will still take place during the road closure with bin wagons gaining access to Seebohm Quarter (Phase 3) temporarily via Meadlands Mews. Emergency Services will follow diversion signs should they need to attend to Seebohm Quarter.
Please note that during the duration of the works, the bus service will terminate at the end of Fifth Avenue/Tang Hall Lane.
