JRHT residents census
During October, we are carrying out a residents’ census to make sure we have up-to-date information about you and your household as well as information on how you would like to be contacted.
We will be contacting each household with a copy of the information which we hold about you. We would kindly ask that you take a few moments to review this information and send any updates back to us using the freepost envelope provided.
Everyone who updates their information and returns it by 31 October will be automatically entered into a free prize draw to win a £50 Love to Shop voucher.
Updating your contact information
It is important that we hold up-to-date information about you and how you want us to contact you. As a direct impact of the pandemic, many of us have changed our working arrangements and rely more on the use of technology to keep in touch with each other. We recognise that more residents may wish to be kept updated via digital channels such as email, text or via our social media channels. Therefore, it would be great if you could review the contact details which we have for you and confirm your preference for us keeping in touch with you.
Keeping you informed
Previously, we have mainly relied on written letters and publications to keep in touch with residents. However, during the pandemic we have moved to using additional ways to keep in touch with residents – making more use of emails, providing regular updates on our social media channels and contacting residents by phone. In addition, we have replaced the printed copy of JRHT News with a monthly residents’ e-newsletter sent directly to your inbox.
The use of email and text messages means that we can communicate with residents in a more timely manner and enable us to tailor the information which you receive. For these reasons, it is important that both your email address and mobile telephone number are up to date. By supplying a mobile telephone number, it means that we can easily contact you via text if you prefer to arrange service such as repairs.
Making sure you get information you need, about services you need
We would also like to know more about you and your household and what may interest you – as well as knowing how you want us to contact you. For example, you may have a hearing impairment which means contact by phone is not appropriate.
We can also direct our information to household groups, such as “back to school” information for young families, or information for elderly people, for instance, about changes to TV licenses or location.
The information you provide will be held strictly in accordance with data protection legislation and we will not share your information with any other organisation or individual outside of JRHT. We may use the information anonymously to help us improve our services, but we will not report on data which can identify any individual or household.
Look out for the census and then review it and send it back by 31 October to be included in the prize draw to win a £50 Love to Shop voucher.
