We know during the last 16 months; our teams have worked tirelessly to keep residents and staff safe.
Any death is a loss for a family, and we know it has been more difficult for families to deal with bereavement without the ability to come together and support each other.
In advance of the release of data, we have been in touch with the individual families affected by COVID related deaths within our care homes which are also identified in the CQC data report. We have offered our support and sincere condolences to them.
We remain committed to keeping residents and staff safe whilst the rest of society is opening up, those who live with us, and require 24-hour care are amongst the most vulnerable in society.
We will continue to ensure our care sites are covid secure, with the highest standards of infection prevention and control, including mask wearing and regular testing of staff and visitors. These measures, alongside vaccination of our staff will remain a feature of our care delivery for the foreseeable future.
