Spread the Love

Posted on19 Feb 2021

This February, the Folk Hall team in New Earswick are helping to share a little love throughout the village with the ‘Spread the Love’ project.

The project involves asking locals to create a love heart, using anything they have lying around such as newspapers, magazines or bits of unused material. They are then asked to display their hearts in their windows, on their front doors or in their gardens for passers-by to spot and enjoy on their daily walks.

This project follows on from the Advent calendar windows that the Folk Hall team and community members made at Christmas which was such a success.

You may have also heard Jill Robinson, who introduced the project idea to the team, on BBC Radio York talking about the project and what they set out to do along with other communities across North Yorkshire.

Residents inspired to share the love.
