A big congratulations to Paul Murray, Head Chef from New Lodge & The Folk Hall in New Earswick who has won the Regional Cook Off (North) for the National Association of Care Catering (NACC) - Chef of the Year Competition.
Paul said: “I am delighted to have won the Regional Cook Off for the North. I am looking forward to representing Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) in the Finals in October.”
Paul hustled up a delicious and nutritious two course meal for the judges. The dishes included a chicken ballotine with sun dried tomatoes and creamed cheese and coconut panna cotta.
The judges were so impressed with the dishes that Paul was awarded a special commendation for nutritious value and presentation.
Paul will now join other regional finalists to battle it out for the prestigious award of Care Chef of the Year. The final will take place on 06 October 2021.
