You can now read the JRHT Annual Report to Residents 2017 on our website. It highlights our achievements from last year, but also those areas where we need to do more and make improvements.
As part of the Residents' Survey 2016, we asked you how satisfied you were with the services we provide across a number of different areas. For example, we asked you about our repairs service and how well we deal with complaints. In 2017, we made a number of changes to the way that we organised our repairs service. This has resulted in an increase in the percentage of repairs completed on time. The percentage of jobs completed at the first visit also increased and in 2017 was at 95.5% for urgent repairs.
The Report also looks at the standard of housing we provide, our home improvements and housing safety. In 2017, we carried out an extensive programme of door and window replacement. And last year we completed 100% of your emergency and urgent repairs on time.
As part of the Residents' Survey, we asked you what you thought of the improvements that we made to our properties, and also new initiatives such as the improved insulation, and help to people reduce their energy bills. The Survey showed us that in 2017, more of you were happy with the quality of your homes than in 2015.
At JRHT, one of our priorities is to provide new homes at affordable levels, and in 2017 41 new homes were completed at Derwenthorpe, of which 23 were affordable. This brings the total number of new homes to 380 across the whole of JRHT.
