This year's JRHT Community Buzz Fun Day is almost here, and we're ready teddy to bring our bears along to Homestead Park in York on Sunday.
There will be a full day of activities and entertainment to enjoy, including a bear hunt nature trail; football with York City players; tractor rides and a York Knights’ inflatable obstacle course.
If your children or grandchildren love animals, there will also be a farm with pygmy goats and miniature donkeys. You and your family can also enjoy music from a brass band, face painting and a bouncy castle.
There will also be a prize draw - open to all JRHT residents - on the day. Among the fantastic prizes are a fabulous Kindle Fire tablet, afternoon tea for two at the lavish Grand Hotel and Spa in York, and a Champagne lunch at The Principal Hotel near York railway station.
The Fun Day is perfect for families, and although there will be refreshments on offer everyone is welcome to bring their own picnics and picnic blankets - and of course their bears. Park gates open at 11am on Sunday and the Fun Day closes at 4pm. Everyone is welcome to come along; particularly if you are a JRJT resident.
There is limited parking near the sports' centre off Shipton Road. The Number 2 Park and Ride bus also provides a regular service to and from the city centre.
