This year has been hard for everyone and we cannot get together as we normally would, but across our communities residents and staff have devoted themselves to ensuring there is some Christmas connections and festive fun to bolster all our spirits. Here is just a snapshot of what has been happening if you have something to share please post @JRHT Facebook and let us try and connect everyone.
Carols in care and sheltered housing settings
A big thank you to York Musical Theatre Company who gave up their time and popped up in sheltered housing schemes and care settings in York to spread some festive cheer and joy to the world, it was greatly appreciated by residents and staff.
Hartfields Manor, Hartlepool.
Residents and staff worked together during the December to ensure Hartfields retirement village was full of fun and community spirit. From covid safe carol singing around the scheme, Santas with beards grown over their masks it was all happening and the atrium was adorned with decorations. Talented residents shared poems and christmas wishes and the raffle raised more than £200 for a local appeal to provide toys and gifts for families. If you are stuck for some puzzles or crosswords download the Hartfields Times for some free activities shared with residents during December.
Plaxton Court, Scarborough.
