Carols for Christmas

Carol singing across our communities

Christmas would not be Christmas without some carols. Whilst we do not know the full details yet, we do know that local singing groups are busy rehearsing carols to share with residents within some of our sheltered housing schemes, extra care and care communities.

The York Musical Theatre Society are busy rehearsing online in small groups so that in December they can visit The Oaks, Lamel Beeches, Mistral Court and Dower Court to bring some Christmas choral joy. The carol singing will also be live streamed for other residents to enjoy - watch out for more information (including links) on JRHT Facebook page.

Eric Leighton resident singer at Hartfields Manor and all-round entertainer is planning to fill the nooks, corridors and hallways with his baratone voice.

Eric plans to provide weekly entertainment for residents who can stay safe inside their apartments or houses and hear him sing through an open window or door. His performances will be streamed on the Hartfields Facebook Page

Carols in the kitchen

As well as hearing carols, we know singing together is also good for us all and helps lift spirits.

Why not host your own carols in your kitchen for your household or arrange a virtual sing along with friends and neighbors?

We would love to hear your carols, so if you and your family or friends plan or have an impromptu carol singalong please film it and send it to us to share via WhatsApp (Louise Darby 07814968065 or Emma Green 07773218532) or email either [email protected] or [email protected]
