Always wanted to own your favourite character from Wallace & Gromit?

Following on from the huge success of the Wallace & Gromit themed seasonal bedding display in the Homestead Park, Joseph Rowntree Foundation and Aardman have decided to auction off the stunning willow sculptures from the display.

We are encouraging people to bid for their favourite characters such as Wallace, Feathers McGraw and Shaun the Sheep, as well as the amazing 12-foot rocket that was centre piece of the seasonal bedding display.

In line with Gromit’s birthday, we are opening our auction on Wednesday 12 February 2020 at 10am and will close the auction on Friday 28 February at 12noon.

To make an offer send a direct message to the Homestead Park Facebook page. The highest bid will be accepted, so it might be worth offering an unusual amount such as a couple of pounds or pence extra as it can make all the difference in securing a successful bid.

Aardman has been generous to support us with this – we only ask that you use these sculptures for your personal enjoyment and not for commercial gain. They will need to be collected from the Park in York as we are unable to deliver.

Tom Hepburn, parks and landscapes development officer said “Everyone loved the seasonal bedding display so we thought we would provide visitors with an opportunity to bid for their favourite sculpture. Dig deep as all monies raised will be split between Aardman’s charity of choice ‘The Grand Appeal (The Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity) and the Homestead Park.”

Aardman’s Rachael Peacock, Wallace & Gromit Brand Manager said: ‘We were truly impressed by the craftsmanship of the garden sculptures that captured the humour of Wallace & Gromit so brilliantly. We are delighted that the sculptures will live on in someone’s garden whilst supporting two charities, ‘’Cracking job lad”’
