Carol Tannahill is Director of the Glasgow Centre for Population Health. For over twenty years she has contributed to public health policy and strategy in international, national and local contexts. Throughout her career, Carol has been committed to strengthening the research base to inform public health policy. She's also strengthened connections between research, policy and practice.
In April 2014 she became Chief Social Policy Adviser with the Scottish Government on a part-time secondment. She worked on the Government’s approaches to supporting communities and tackling deep-rooted inequalities. She is also Honorary Professor at both the University of Glasgow and Glasgow Caledonian University.
