We are committed to supporting the development of
residents'/social groups across all of our stock. We also regularly
conduct focus groups, surveys and consultation exercises around key
policies and new developments. Through this continuing consultation
process it became evident to us that there was no mechanism, other
than the bi annual conference whereby residents'/social groups from
across the stock can come together to discuss issues and concerns
that are of importance to them.
To this end we established the
Federation of
Residents' Groups, that will act as a broad body for discussion
and consultation, provide nominations for our
Housing Operations
Committee which make key decisions about our future, and
provide a forum whereby residents'/social groups can discuss
concerns or issues that they may have identified in their local
community and which they feel may be of relevance to others.
The Federation meets quarterly and have discussed the following
at recent meetings:
- The Diversity conference in September 2004
- Monitoring the Centenary Budget
- Giving comments on the use of Ground 8 as a tool for
tenancy management
- Working in small groups to give input into the
Involvement
and Participation Policy
- Giving comments on the resident Involvement
KLOE
- Establishing a Resident Service Improvement
Group
- Organising a Social Event to promote the work of the
Federation
All resident groups can nominate 2 members to the
Federation. If your group is interested then please
