We expect the following work to be carried out by the outgoing
tenant:
Empty property standard
Before vacating a property you must ensure that it is left in an
acceptable condition by doing the following:
Internally
- clear out all contents and rubbish from all areas including
cupboards and drawers
- remove all carpets and underlays and sweep out all areas
- remove all curtains and light shades
- remove all shelves and cabinets etc. installed by the vacating
resident and make good fixing points
- remove all picture hanging hooks and nails and make good
- remove all appliances such as cookers etc. which are not our
property
- ensure that all internal decorations are to a reasonable
standard
- clean all cills, ledges, skirtings, woodwork and shelves etc in
all areas including cupboards and wardrobes
- clean and sanitize all wall tiling
- clean tiled and vinyl sheeted floors
- clean all kitchen units inside and out and all worktops
- clean and sanitize all sinks, basins, toilets, baths and shower
trays
Externally
- clear away all items and possessions from garden areas
including children's swings and play equipment etc
- clear away all rubbish and unwanted items. ( NB: Refuse
collectors should not be relied upon to take away items stacked
around wheelie bins for disposal)
- remove satellite dishes and temporary lighting and make good
any damage
- tidy gardens
- cut and tidy all grass, hedges and shrubs
Your property will be finally inspected on the day you
leave.
Failure to do any of the above or put right any damage other than
acceptable wear and tear may result in you being charged if we have
to do it.
