We will provide a sheltered housing service which meets the
needs of residents.
Sheltered housing schemes offer additional support. Most of our
schemes have an on site scheme manager who provides additional
support to residents. It is important that sheltered housing
residents enjoy the same standard of service as other residents;
however, the following additional standards will also apply.
- promote the independence and security of all residents
- offer a home visiting service to residents
- provide support and work with specialist agencies to enable
residents to remain independent
- provide a 24 hour community alarm service
- report repairs on behalf of residents
- carry out communal decorations on a 5 yearly basis in
consultation with you
- encourage and facilitate social activities; and complete
support plans within 2 weeks of a resident taking up occupation in
a sheltered scheme and review those plans on a regular
basis.
You will;
- respect and be considerate to your neighbours
- respect communal facilities and leave them clean and tidy after
use
- contact your scheme manager during their work hours only;
and
- use the community alarm for emergencies
only.
