Resident William Strong cutting the cake with John Kennedy,
JRHT's Director of Care Services
To celebrate the landmark occasion, an evening of entertainment,
which included dinner and live music, was arranged for residents
and their families.
Since its opening last year, over 200
older people have moved to Hartfields, an innovative housing scheme
based on the 'extra care' model, which is aimed at promoting
independence.
Residents are able to feel safe and secure, as each of the 242
homes are fitted with an emergency call system and the on-site care
and support team provide 24/7 assistance. In addition, residents
and local people enjoy an impressive range of leisure and social
facilities, including restaurant, cafe bar, fully equipped gym with
spa pool and hairdressing salon.
