Heslington Court sheltered housing scheme
is located in the village of Heslington, about three miles to the
south east of York, close to the University of York.
The scheme comprises twenty, two-bedroomed flats and four one-
bedroomed flats all contained in a 2 storey building.

Each flat has warm-air gas-fired central heating. Communal
facilities include a residents' lounge and laundry.
The scheme has a resident
scheme manager and is linked to an intercom system for
emergencies.
The scheme is supported by a government grant of 30% of the cost
which enables a purchaser to acquire up to 70% interest in the
value of the property on a 99 year lease.
All residents pay a monthly service charge, which is reviewed each
July.
