The Oaks care centre is an integral part of the Hartrigg Oaks community. It is registered with the Commission for Social Care inspection to provide residential and nursing care for 42 older people.The registration also allows for the accommodation of 11 residents whose primary care need is EMI (elderly mentally infirm).
The care agreement entered into by Hartrigg Oaks residents entitles them to transfer from their bungalow into The Oaks care centre in order to receive long term care if this is deemed appropriate. Existing Hartrigg Oaks residents are given priority over non-residents on the allocation of available places in The Oaks care centre.
