Bedford Court is an integrated care complex for older people, which was purpose built in 2004. Accommodation consists of 34 bed-sitting room and 4 double apartments within Olive Lodge and 10 bungalows situated in a court yard setting called Phillips Close. It is suitable for a range of older people, from those who have no care needs but want to live in a supportive environment, through to those people who require the full services of a care care.

Horsforth

Situated in Horsforth, five miles north of the centre of Leeds, Bedford Court enjoys a peaceful setting within the heart of this busy village and is conveniently situated next door to a recently built medical centre.

Horsforth is a bustling village with an array of shops, restaurants and cafes, library, churches and even a college and museum! There is a train station with regular services to Leeds, Harrogate, and York. Leeds is also easily accessible by bus.

Being one of the largest and oldest villages in England, Horsforth has a population of over 21,000 and a history dating back to the Domesday book of 1066.

Management

The Bedford Court Committee is responsible for providing a channel of communication between the operations of Bedford Court and the JRHT and considers all aspects of its operation. The Committee is made up of four members appointed by the JRHT and four members appointed by the Religious Society of Friends.

Financial arrangements

Fees are paid monthly in advance by direct debit. A range of flexible financial options are available, based on individual circumstances. Details of these and the Bedford Court Bond and Bursary Scheme are available on request.
